of Deal Origination & Marketing. Mr. Lipshutz joined KRG as a
Principal in 1999 and was promoted to Director in 2007. Mr. Lipshutz currently
leads the Firm’s marketing and deal origination efforts and is responsible
for managing many of the Firm’s relationships with key intermediaries.
Mr. Lipshutz has over 24 years of experience in middle market buyouts,
corporate finance, leveraged lending and banking, and while at KRG
has actively supported the creation of five industry-leading platforms
in the construction products, consumer products, marketing services
and education/training sectors. Mr. Lipshutz has served as a director of
KRG portfolio companies Aspen Marketing, Corporate Training, Sun Valley
and The Tensar Corporation.
Prior to joining KRG, Mr. Lipshutz was active in
the debt markets for over 16 years. Mr. Lipshutz worked for NationsBank/Bank
of America in Los Angeles from 1993 to 1999, where he co-headed the Western
Region private equity-backed cash flow lending group. From 1988 to 1992,
Mr. Lipshutz was involved in the project financing area and from 1983
to 1988, Mr. Lipshutz was in the corporate lending sector across various
industries. Mr. Lipshutz graduated with honors from the University of
Texas at Austin and received his MBA from Cornell University’s
Johnson Graduate School of Management.
