Services: Services include the following:
Freight forwarding – forwarding
freight via ocean and air from the country of manufacture to
FMI’s port of entry.
Air Freight
Pickup – includes
the pickup and delivery of cargo from airlines and airport
terminals.
CFS Services – includes
the unloading of bonded import cargo prior to U.S. customs
clearance and standardized procedures.
Trans-loading – involves
the automated process of unloading inbound cargo, sorting,
transferring, labeling, tendering and/or loading the cargo
into an outbound truck.
Warehousing – the storage of goods. FMI
acts as a “virtual” distribution center for several
mid-size apparel manufacturers.
Value-Added Services
(“VAS”) – a
host of services required to correct mistakes made at the factory
or shipper level to prepare the garments for the store floor.
Domestic Moves – includes
the pickup and delivery of cargo on a local level (less than
500 miles).
Line-haul – involves
the transport for long distance moves (more than 500 miles).
