Principal.
Mr. Eakes joined the Firm in 2000 as an Associate, and was promoted
to Vice President in 2006 and Principal in 2007. Mr. Eakes has approximately
ten years of private equity and corporate finance experience. While at
KRG, Mr. Eakes has been actively involved with a number of current and
past portfolio companies in a broad range of industries including life
sciences and med-tech (Specialty Research, Accellent and CIVCO), infrastructure/energy
(Focus), marketing services (Aspen Marketing), construction products (Tecta),
and consumer products (Case Logic and Sun Valley). Prior to joining KRG,
Mr. Eakes was an Analyst in the Financial Sponsor Group at Banc of America
Securities, LLC, from 1997 to 2000 where he executed senior debt financings
for leveraged buyouts of middle market companies by private equity firms
and prior to that, was a Sales Representative for Access International,
a Chicago-based software development firm. Mr. Eakes serves as a director
of KRG portfolio companies, Tecta, The Focus Corporation and MedTech. Mr.
Eakes earned a BS in Business Administration with Distinction from the
University of Kansas.
